Women, Fire & Dangerous Things Mododiva
December 2011: Filament Magazine prints my interview with photographer Laurie Toby Edison (scan soon). I also contribute to the incredible and self-published Light Bulb Moment: The stories of why we are feminists edited by Sian Norris. I review ATP Nightmare Before Xmas and 2011 in gigs for the girls are.
September/October 2011: I start writing for an amazing women in music website: the girls are. I review CSS, Shonen Knife, tUnE-yArDs, and Shrag. I also perform some spoken word at Wordplay, a night organized by Playthings theatre company, and at the October Cross Cultural Acoustic Variety Show.
August 2011: Kate Trash and I interview Ringo Deathstarr (and some other bands - links soon) at OFF Festival, Katowice, PL.
June 2011: I become
an editor for Little Episodes,
arts collective, independent publisher and arts production company
which does books, records, online community for artists, monthly nights
at the Albert in Brighton, and loads more.
May 2011: I am Kate Trash's guest on Alternative Radio Programme on Rare FM for a Primavera Sound Special Show. Unfortunately, the playout system fucks up and there is no recording of the show available for re-listens. A true one-off.
February 2011: 'Anti-form', my new collection of clothes, appears at the UCLU MODO Fashion Show, AND KCL Runway - Be Brazen charity show. Comprehensive photo documentation on Flickr. I also help out a bit with the costumes for a Spanish Civil War-style performance of Macbeth at the Bloomsbury Theatre.
